Google Launches Google+ Integrated Hashtag Search

google icon hashtag announcementIn case you missed it, Zaheed Sabur of Google has just announced a new Google+ feature this morning that has ramped up its value and gave inbound marketing peeps more reasons to be on Google+!

Google+ hashtagged posts marked ‘public’ now appear on the Google Search page.

If you’re searching a hashtag on the all-knowing and ever magical Google search engine, you will now see Google+ posts with the same hashtag on the right hand side, just below the ads.

The posts scroll automatically, but you have the option to manually scroll at your own pace using the arrows at the top.

Google also gives you an option to do a similar search on Twitter and Facebook by simply clicking on the corresponding links below.

We tested this new feature with the hashtag #inboundmarketing. Here’s what it looks like:
